AKP's Külünk labels 'cut trade with Israel' protests a 'professional operation'

Pro-Palestine marches and protests against Israel's actions are being held in many parts of Turkey. Police intervention sometimes occurs during these demonstrations.

Most recently, following a protest held in Istanbul, police intervened in demonstrations held because the AKP has not cut its trade with Israel.

Although it was announced that the police officers who slapped veiled women were suspended, AKP's Metin Külünk claimed that the protests were a professional operation and that FETÖ had a hand in them.

In his lengthy post, Külünk included the following claims:

We are facing a very professional operation.

In the Gezi protests, which gave us important messages in terms of its beginning, environmental and tree sensitivity were turned into a tool for a government coup through the streets and the massification of the process.

Now, with a Gezi-like model that started as innocent, members of a party whose name I will not mention among our citizens who want to express themselves on the point of sensitivity to GAZA, which is extremely innocent, have turned the process into a tool, and the innocence of Gaza has caused the action to exceed its purpose.

The disproportionate intervention of the police during the events has unfortunately become a professional action that could cause public outrage and aims to completely sever the ties between our President and the nation.

Indeed, we are seeing live that the same mind that ordered the burning of tents in Gezi is now ordering the police to slap and strike the 'young people who are crying for Gaza today and showing that there is a reflex in Turkey for Gaza'.
