Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya held a phone conversation with Greece's Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Christos Stylianides.

In a post shared on the Ministry of Interior's X account, it was stated: “A phone call was held this evening between our Minister of Interior, Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, and Greece's Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Mr. Christos Stylianides, regarding the violation of Turkish territorial waters by Greek boats.

During the meeting, Minister Yerlikaya expressed his discomfort regarding the violation of our territorial waters by Greek Coast Guard boats and emphasized that such violations are unacceptable for the preservation of good neighborly relations.

Greece's Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Mr. Christos Stylianides, stated that importance is attached to neighborly relations between the two countries, that the incident has no political aspect, and that such violations will not be repeated. He further noted that an investigation into the matter has been immediately launched and that Turkish authorities will be informed of the developments.”
