PFDK rains down penalties on Arda Turan: 5 referrals in 12 weeks
Eyüpspor manager Arda Turan has been referred to the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) five times for failing to comply with the Turkish Football Federation's accreditation card regulations. While he received a warning for one of these referrals, he was fined a total of 107,250 TL for the other four.
Arda Turan, the manager of 1. Lig side Eyüpspor, has been referred to the (PFDK) Professional Football Discipline Committee 5 times in 12 weeks for failing to comply with the accreditation regulations of the (TFF) Turkish Football Federation.
Turan, who did not wear his accreditation card in a visible manner, was fined 107,250 TL as a result of these referrals.
During the opening week of the league in the away match against Ankara Keçiörengücü, Arda Turan received his first written warning for violating instructions by not wearing his accreditation card visibly around his neck.
A WAVE OF PENALTIES
Arda Turan received his first fine following the Week 6 match against Ümraniyespor. The young manager was fined 19,500 TL after his second rule violation for failing to wear his accreditation card visibly around his neck.
Turan received another fine for the same reason following the Sakaryaspor match played one week later. It was stated that Arda Turan, who did not wear his accreditation card openly during the away match against Sakaryaspor, was fined 19,500 TL again.
THOUSANDS OF LIRA IN FINES
Turan, who did not learn from the penalties he received and continued the violations, was referred to the PFDK for the same reason following the Bodrum FK match in the eighth week; after this referral, he received a 29,250 TL fine. Unfazed by the penalties, Turan did not hang his accreditation card visibly around his neck again during the match in which Eyüpspor hosted Bandırmaspor in the 10th week of the league. Turan, who was referred to the Professional Football Discipline Committee, was fined 39,000 TL.
MADE HISTORY
Arda Turan, who violated the rules for the fifth time in 12 weeks, became the first manager in Turkish sports history to receive a fine of 107,250 TL solely for failing to comply with accreditation regulations.
