Arrest request for 4 suspects including Sinem Dedetaş
As part of an investigation into allegations of "bribery" and "extortion" through irregularities in construction and occupancy permit procedures at Üsküdar Municipality, Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, Chief of Staff Alihan Koçoğlu, Architect Burçin Çevik, and contractor Bülent Orhan Tozkoparan have been referred to the duty magistrate judge with a request for arrest, while Deputy Mayor Ceyhun Ünlü and business facilitator Adem Altıntaş have been referred with a request for judicial control.
The police procedures at the station have been completed for the suspects detained in an operation conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch, under the coordination of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of an investigation into irregularities at Üsküdar Municipality.
Following a health check, 6 suspects, including Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, were taken to the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse.
ARREST REQUEST FOR 4 SUSPECTS
Of the suspects whose statements were taken by the prosecutor's office, Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, Chief of Staff Alihan Koçoğlu, architect Burçin Çevik, and contractor Bülent Orhan Tozkoparan were referred to the duty magistrate judge with a request for arrest.
The prosecutor's office requested that judicial control measures be applied to Deputy Mayor Ceyhun Ünlü and business facilitator Adem Altıntaş.
