Breaking News: Decision regarding Fatih Özkan, who attacked Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç
Fatih Özkan, who attacked Ali Koç during the Göztepe-Fenerbahçe match, has been apprehended. Referred to the duty court with a request for arrest, Özkan was sentenced to house arrest. Additionally, Özkan's statement has emerged.
The suspect who attacked Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç during the Göztepe-Fenerbahçe match played in the second week of the Süper Lig has been taken into custody.
Ali Koç filed a criminal complaint against the person who pushed him during the incident at the Göztepe match and all officials who were negligent.
Following this, teams from the İzmir Provincial Police Department's Sports Security Branch Office took Fatih Özkan into custody, who had pushed and caused Koç to fall while he was walking along the sidelines.
After completing his procedures at the police station, Özkan was referred to the duty court by the prosecutor with a request for his arrest.
HOUSE ARREST GRANTED
After his interrogation at the prosecutor's office, the suspect, who was brought before the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for arrest, was sentenced to house arrest.
HIS STATEMENT HAS EMERGED
Furthermore, the statement of Fatih Özkan, who was placed under house arrest, has emerged.
In his statement, Özkan said the following:
"I wanted to escort Ali Koç off the pitch. The ground was wet. I couldn't adjust my speed. I pushed him hard unintentionally. I had no intention of causing injury."
