Breaking News... Murat Kurum had said 'It is not on our agenda': Statement on 'Kanal İstanbul' from Abdulkadir Uraloğlu! 'We have never given up'
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, "We will definitely build Kanal İstanbul."
Debates continue regarding the AKP's rent-seeking project, Kanal İstanbul, which has drawn the reaction of citizens.
While Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated yesterday (April 30) that "Kanal İstanbul is not on our agenda," a completely opposite statement came from Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
Speaking to journalists after the General Directorate of Highways' Light Urban Search and Rescue Team "Karakurt" Promotion and Vehicle Distribution Ceremony, Uraloğlu said, "We will definitely build Kanal İstanbul. We have never given up. We will consult on the timing; we have listened to the citizens' views."
