57 various coins and historical artifacts were seized in Diyarbakır. 2 suspects were apprehended.
Two suspects attempting to sell 57 various coins and historical artifacts dating back to the Byzantine, Assyrian, and Roman periods were apprehended in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır.
In a statement released by the Governor's Office, it was noted that as a result of planned intelligence operations conducted by the Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command and the Bağlar District Gendarmerie Command, information was obtained that various coins and historical artifacts from the Byzantine, Assyrian, and Roman periods would be brought to Yeşildallı Neighborhood in the Bağlar district and sold at that location.

The statement indicated that 2 suspects were apprehended in the operation carried out yesterday, and 57 coins of various sizes were seized during a search of the suspects' vehicle.
It was noted that judicial proceedings against the suspects are ongoing.
