Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel shared a commemoration message for those who lost their lives in the bomb attack in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay on May 11, 2013.

In the message he shared on his social media account, Özel stated, "On the 11th anniversary of the Reyhanlı attacks, one of the most painful massacres in our recent history, I remember our 53 citizens who lost their lives with mercy."

WHAT IS THE REYHANLI INCIDENT?

The 2013 Reyhanlı bomb attacks were two separate bomb attacks carried out in Reyhanlı, Hatay, on May 11, 2013. During the attack, 53 people died and 146 people were injured.

This attack, carried out with bomb-laden vehicles, was recorded as the second deadliest attack in the history of the Republic of Turkey after the 2015 Ankara attack.
