CHP Sancaktepe Mayor Alper Yeğin undergoes heart stent procedure
Alper Yeğin, the CHP mayor who won Sancaktepe from the AKP on March 31, suffered a heart attack over the weekend. It was stated that a stent was placed in his arteries.
Alper Yeğin, the mayor of Istanbul's Sancaktepe district, suffered a heart attack on Saturday.
According to information obtained by Odatv, Yeğin is currently receiving treatment at Acıbadem Hospital in Ataşehir.
Following examinations and an angiogram, a stent was placed in one of his arteries, and Yeğin is being kept under medical observation for control purposes.

WHO IS ALPER YEĞİN?
Alper Yeğin, who ended the AKP era in Sancaktepe with 50.59 percent of the vote in the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, was born in Sancaktepe in 1984.
A graduate of the Foreign Trade Department at Doğuş University, Yeğin served as a CHP Municipal Council member for Sancaktepe between 2014 and 2019. Having served two terms as the CHP Sancaktepe district chair between 2015 and 2019, Yeğin also held senior management positions at İSTAÇ AŞ and Metro AŞ.
