Addressing the AKP government's presentation of developments in Syria as a great victory and criticizing this attitude of the government over the announced minimum wage figure, Yücel included the following statements in his social media post:

You show off by saying “We are the conquerors of Syria,” yet you inflict this cruelty upon your own people...

You are enemies of the worker...

You are anti-labor...

You have zero respect for sweat and toil...

You do not care about children who go to bed hungry or citizens who collect rotten fruits and vegetables from the trash..

You are consuming the rights of the people!

You announced 22,104 liras as if it were good news; shame on you..."
