The couple, who have been married for 28 years and have 2 children, were accepted into the Amasya University Taşova Yüksel Akın Vocational School. The Öztürk couple enrolled in the university on their wedding anniversary.

Muammer Öztürk, who gained admission to university 32 years later, stated, "It had been on our minds for a long time. Due to work life and normal living conditions, we decided to take the exam together this year. Thankfully, we took the exam in the same building, and it looks like we will be studying in the same building now as well."

Fadime Öztürk mentioned that she had always felt a sense of regret because she could not attend university due to family reasons when she was younger, and that she would now be attending university thanks to her husband. Öztürk said, "My father could not afford to send me to university due to family circumstances. Attending university was a lingering regret for me. Thanks to my husband, it will be even better to study at this university together, God willing. Today is our wedding anniversary. We started university together. We completed our registration today."
