The Court of Accounts has published its 2022 reports.
The report highlights activities by the AKP-run Üsküdar Municipality that are contrary to regulations.
The Court of Accounts report states that 13 properties under the municipality's control were handed out without a tender, in violation of the provisions of the State Tender Law No. 2886. It was determined that these properties were made available to various associations and foundations through cooperation protocols, and that one property was allocated to an association.
3 OF THEM USED FREE OF CHARGE
According to the report by Ali Macit from Halktv.com.tr; although rent is collected for 11 of the mentioned uses, 3 of them are being used free of charge.
Furthermore, an examination of the relevant protocols indicated that rather than a joint cooperation, the administration had effectively allocated the properties, and that the protocols were arranged to allow associations and foundations to carry out their activities in these properties.
8 PEOPLE APPOINTED AS DIRECTORS UNDER THE TITLE OF MAYORAL ADVISOR
The investigation also found that 8 personnel were assigned to positions of mayoral advisor and deputy mayoral advisor, for which there are no established staff quotas. The Court of Accounts report also determined that these eight individuals were actively performing these duties.
