A tour bus with license plate 45 HB 0560, driven by Nurhan Hazer, overturned on the Aksaray-Ankara highway near the Acıpınar location.

A tour bus traveling from Balıkesir to the Cappadocia region, carrying 2 drivers, 1 guide, and 41 passengers, went off the road and overturned on the E-90 highway in the central district of Aksaray.

While 6 people lost their lives as a result of the accident, the procedures at the gendarmerie for the detained bus driver, Nurhan Hazer, have been completed.

Hazer was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace.

It was learned that in his statement to the gendarmerie, the driver claimed he had not fallen asleep and was affected by the morning sun, stating, "I tried hard not to have an accident. When I hit the barrier, I couldn't recover, and we overturned into the ditch."

On the other hand, 12 of those injured in the accident have been discharged, while the others continue to receive treatment in hospitals.

The tour bus belonging to the Akhisar Seyahat company, with license plate 45 HB 0560, driven by Nurhan Hazer and traveling from Balıkesir to Cappadocia, overturned yesterday on the Aksaray-Ankara highway near the Acıpınar location, resulting in 6 deaths and 34 injuries.
