Detention warrants issued for 23 people following the attempted terrorist attack in front of the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Security
Following the attempted terrorist attack in front of the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Security in Ankara on October 1, the first day of the new legislative year, detention warrants have been issued for 23 suspects identified as having engaged in terrorist propaganda on social media.
An investigation has been launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the attempted terrorist attack that took place at the entrance gate of the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Security on the morning of October 1. In this context, detention warrants were issued for 23 suspects identified as having engaged in terrorist organization propaganda. The statement issued by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office included the following remarks:
23 DETAINED
“Following the terrorist attack carried out by PKK/KCK/PYD/YPG terrorist organization members against the Ministry of Interior on October 1, 2023, an investigation has been initiated by our Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding posts made on social media. As a result of the work carried out in accordance with the instructions given by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office within the scope of the investigation, it has been decided to detain 23 suspects identified as having engaged in terrorist organization propaganda, simultaneously across 14 provinces, starting from October 6, 2023.”
