DMM had denied it: CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz posts 'Supreme Court loading' message!
CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz made a new statement headlined "Supreme Court loading" after the Disinformation Combat Centre (DMM) denied allegations of irregularities in the Turkey-Iraq crude oil pipeline.
Allegations of financial irregularities in the Turkey-Iraq crude oil pipeline, raised by CHP Deputy Chair for Energy and Natural Resources Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, continue to dominate the agenda.
Yavuzyılmaz had claimed that between 21 May 2014 and 30 September 2018, the AKP government collected *2 billion 320 million dollars* in transit fees from the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq (KRG) for crude oil transported via the Iraq-Turkey Crude Oil Pipeline in violation of international agreements.
Yavuzyılmaz alleged that this amount was transferred to Turkish Energy Company (TEC), a company established by the AKP government on the island of Jersey, and stated that only 904 million dollars was transferred to BOTAŞ.
The Disinformation Combat Centre (DMM) denied Yavuzyılmaz's allegations.
Sosyal medya mecralarında "Türkiye'nin Irak-Türkiye Ham Petrol Boru Hattı üzerinden 2 milyar 320 milyon dolar gelir elde ettiği, bu tutarın Turkish Energy Company (TEC) adlı şirkete aktarıldığı ve 1 milyar 416 Milyon Dolarının kaybolduğu" yönünde dolaşıma sokulan iddialar tamamen… pic.twitter.com/V4MoFflU1T

YAVUZYILMAZ'S "SUPREME COURT LOADING" STATEMENT
Following DMM's denial, Yavuzyılmaz issued a new statement headlined "Supreme Court loading…", saying: "With yesterday's statement, DMM tried to issue a denial but once again made a mess of the matter. It has effectively admitted that at least 1 billion 150 million dollars of the crude oil transit fees paid by the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq (KRG) to TEC — the company established by the AK Party government on the island of Jersey — has evaporated."
Basing his allegations on KRG Deloitte reports, BOTAŞ Court of Accounts reports, and the final ruling of the International Court of Arbitration, Yavuzyılmaz stressed that DMM's statements were erroneous and misleading, and called for the financial irregularities in the oil pipeline to be brought to light.
Yavuzyılmaz's post reads as follows:
"Supreme Court loading…
Responses to the Disinformation Combat Centre — 1!
Regarding the irregularities in the Turkey-Iraq crude oil pipeline;
With yesterday's statement, DMM tried to issue a denial but once again made a mess of the matter.
It has effectively admitted that at least 1 billion 150 million dollars of the crude oil transit fees paid by the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq (KRG) to TEC — the company established by the AK Party government on the island of Jersey — has evaporated.
But how?
In its misleading statement, DMM;
Distorted the date range of the irregular oil transportation that is the subject of the International Court of Arbitration, and published data based on a different date range.
It stated that 1.46 billion dollars was transferred from the TEC company on the island of Jersey to BOTAŞ between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2018.
However, the date range in which the arbitration penalty and crude oil transit revenues evaporated is between 21 May 2014 and 30 September 2018.
In other words, even when calculated using DMM's own methodology, it is clear that;
The amount transferred by TEC to BOTAŞ in the period 21 May 2014 – 30 September 2018 is at most 1 billion 170 million dollars.
Given that the total crude oil transit fee paid by the KRG to TEC in the same period was 2 billion 320 million dollars;
The difference of 1 billion 150 million dollars was never sent from the island of Jersey to BOTAŞ — it effectively evaporated.
Now let us refute DMM's other claim
Let us prove with documentation that the crude oil transit fee paid by the KRG to TEC between 21 May 2014 and 30 September 2018 was 2 billion 320 million dollars.
Between 30 September 2018 and 1 January 2018;
Amount of crude oil transported:
93,775,234 barrels
Transit fee paid by KRG to TEC: 300,667,833 dollars
(Source: KRG Deloitte Official Report)
Between 31 December 2017 and 1 July 2017;
Amount of crude oil transported:
81,548,972 barrels
Transit fee paid by KRG to TEC: 233,940,615 dollars
(Source: KRG Deloitte Official Report)
Between 30 June 2017 and 21 May 2014;
Amount of crude oil transported:
510,379,089 barrels
(Source: BOTAŞ Court of Accounts Reports)
Transit fee paid by KRG to TEC: 1,786,326,811 dollars
(Source: Calculation based on Article 627, Page 206 of the Final Ruling of the International Court of Arbitration.
According to Article 627:
The court ruling states that a transit fee of 3.5 dollars per barrel was charged between 30 June 2017 and 21 May 2014.
Furthermore, according to Article 630;
It is stated that the AK Party presented no evidence to the court disputing the calculation that a transit fee of 3.5 dollars was charged.
The court rules that 3.5 dollars per barrel was charged.
Total
Between 30 September 2018 and 21 May 2014;
Total amount of crude oil transported:
685,703,295 barrels
Total transit fee paid by KRG to TEC: 2,320,935,259 dollars
