DMM statement on claims that 'My Family is Safe' operations are 'conducted arbitrarily'

In a post shared on the social media account of the Center for Combating Disinformation, it was stated, "Claims appearing in some international media outlets that the 'My Family is Safe' operations conducted in our country are 'conducted arbitrarily and with specific targets' are completely baseless and constitute clear disinformation aimed at misleading the public.

Protecting children from narcotic substances, sexual abuse, the prostitution economy, and digital manipulation is the primary duty of states and is not a subject open to debate.

With this determination, our country has declared the years 2026-2035 as the 'Decade of Family and Population' and is resolutely implementing a comprehensive protection policy that focuses on the 'best interests of the child'."

The statement, which emphasized that the "My Family is Safe" operations are carried out against organized crime structures operating with a focus on drugs, prostitution, pimping, and child abuse, continued, "Investigations are being conducted under the supervision of judicial bodies, within the scope of concrete evidence, reports, and judicial processes, while strictly adhering to the principles of the rule of law.

The Republic of Türkiye will not sacrifice the safety of our children and our family structure to any external pressure, smear campaign, or perception operation. It is kindly requested that such intentional publications aimed at manipulating the international public not be given credence," it was stated.
