Doruk Maden workers, members of the Turkey Mining Workers' Union, are continuing their protests in Ankara over unpaid salaries and severance claims. The workers, who have been trying to make their voices heard at various locations in the capital for days, gathered this time in front of the Yıldızlar SSS Holding building.

The miners, who have brought their demands to the agenda through occasional hunger strikes and various other actions, stated that they would not leave Ankara until all their dues are deposited into their accounts. The workers demanded that Sebahattin Yıldız pay their salaries and severance without further delay.

During the protest, a delegation from the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) also visited the miners to show their support. Speaking during the visit, TKP Ankara Provincial Chair Banu Ünver stated that the miners have been struggling in Ankara for weeks for their rights and the demand for a humane life.

Ünver argued that because mines have been transferred to holding companies, workers are now forced to fight for their bread and basic rights. Stating that even the most fundamental rights earned through the workers' labor are not being paid, Ünver claimed that the political power is turning a deaf ear to the workers' voices.

TKP Ankara Provincial Chair Ünver said, "Doruk workers have been struggling for weeks, and they have shown that workers who come together, organize, and fight will get their rights."
