The sword oath taken by lieutenants who graduated from the Military Academy, where they declared "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal," remains a hot topic.

Following the footage, circles close to the government hinted that the young lieutenants were 'coup plotters,' while AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan targeted the lieutenants.

"Who are you drawing those swords at?" asked Erdoğan, adding, "Recently, at a graduation ceremony, some provocateurs emerged and drew swords. Who are you drawing these swords at? Now, regarding these individuals, there are a few who don't know their place; they will be purged. It is impossible for them to remain within our army."

'RESIGN' CALL

Following these statements by Erdoğan, former AKP MP Mehmet Metiner targeted Chief Presidential Advisor Yiğit Bulut, stating, "Our President has just expressed the exact same things we said about those lieutenants, and in an even harsher and more determined language. What will those who hide behind the President at the Presidential Complex and shamelessly lash out at us and shake their fingers do now?

It is essential that the Complex be purged of those with that mentality. After this statement by the President, anyone with honor would not sit in that seat for a second; they would resign and leave."

Regarding the 'lieutenants' oath ceremony,' Bulut had previously said about Metiner, "Whatever Ömer Çelik says about the 'lieutenants' and the 'oath ceremony' is the truth! The efforts of the dregs and the marginalized to sow discord between the great Turkish nation and the Turkish Armed Forces are in vain! Let us be careful against the efforts of crypto-FETÖ members, regardless of which party they belong to, to sow discord!"

BİRİNCİ: THERE CANNOT BE A CHIEF ADVISOR WHO DOES NOT UNDERSTAND OUR PRESIDENT

Former AKP MKYK member Mücahit Birinci called on Bulut to resign, stating, "There cannot be a chief advisor who does not understand our President."

Birinci used the following expressions:

"There cannot be a chief advisor who does not understand our President. There cannot be a chief advisor who does not know our President.

There cannot be a chief advisor who cannot read the sociology upon which we base our foundation. Look at who has fallen into the scope of the words 'dregs' and 'FETÖ remnants' that you used today.

You have insulted our President with haste and prejudice. After this point, you have no place there. Mr. Yiğit Bulut, please resign."

BULUT BLOCKED BİRİNCİ

Furthermore, Birinci shared an image showing that Yiğit Bulut had blocked him and made the following statements:

Excuse me, but are you in your right mind? Are you sober?

Resign and get out. Is blocking me the solution?

You are the man who insulted our sociology by calling them "dregs" and "FETÖ remnants" just because they reacted to military students holding an unauthorized demonstration.
