Fire breaks out at TOKİ construction site dormitory in Adıyaman
A fire broke out in the dormitory and kitchen section of the TOKİ construction site located in the İndere area of the Karadağ region in Adıyaman.
According to initial findings, the fire at the construction site, where Sur Yapı is the subcontractor, was caused by a transformer explosion.
Adıyaman Municipality Fire Department teams intervened in the fire, which occurred around 00:30.
Upon reports that there were injured workers in the fire, Governor Osman Varol, Gendarmerie Colonel Hikmet, and CHP Adıyaman Deputy and Mayoral Candidate Abdurrahman Tutdere went to the scene.
Tutdere stated, based on information received from the site management, that there were no casualties or injuries in the incident and that cooling efforts by the fire department were ongoing.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.

Governor Osman Varol, who conducted inspections in the area, told reporters that the fire had been completely extinguished and that cooling efforts were continuing.
Conveying his best wishes, Varol said, "According to initial findings, the fire in the dormitory section originated from the electricity on the roof. A total of 461 of our workers were staying in the dormitory. When the fire started, the workers were evacuated quickly and safely. As of now, there are no injuries or loss of life. Furthermore, all of the workers have been placed in other dormitories within the construction site area."
