On August 10, as part of two separate investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, he was taken into custody, and on August 14, he was arrested by the duty Magistrate Judge on charges of "bAdecision has been reached regarding Rezan Epözdemir, who was arrested on charges of "bribery".Having spent approximately 5 months in prison,a release order was issued forEpözdemir.

Following his release, Epözdemir made his first statement regarding the process. Epözdemir stated that the allegations were unfounded.with a travel ban abroada decision for release was issued.

Lawyer Rezan Epözdemir, he was held in the Tekirdağ Karatepe High-Security Penal Execution Institution in the Çorlu district. EpEpözdemir, following his release, on his social media account posted aHemadethefollowingstatement afterhisrelease:

"With the victim and witness testimonies heard today, as well as the HTS and cell tower records entered into the file, the accusation leveled against me has been revealed to be untrue, unlawful, and a case of slander .I have been released. On this occasion, I would like to thank everyone, especially my family, loved ones, and friends, who called, asked after me, sent messages, and did not spare their good wishes and prayers. Since there areso manycalls and messages,I cannot return to everyone,I ask for yourunderstanding, pleaseforgive me.
