New development in the Narin Güran case! File to be reviewed

A new development has occurred in the case of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who was murdered in Diyarbakır. The Güran murder file will be reviewed next week at the Diyarbakır Regional Court of Appeal. The appeal filed by the trial prosecutor regarding Nevzat Bahtiyar will also be decided.

TO BE REVIEWED NEXT WEEK

The file regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing, will be addressed next week at the Diyarbakır Regional Court of Appeal.

A decision will be reached as a result of the examinations to be conducted by the 1st Criminal Chamber of the Regional Court of Appeal. The court will address the 944-page reasoned decision announced last week and will issue its ruling.

APPEAL AGAINST NEVZAT BAHTİYAR'S SENTENCE TO BE EVALUATED

The Court of Appeal will also address the appeal filed last week against the sentence of Nevzat Bahtiyar. The trial prosecutor had stated that the 4-year and 6-month prison sentence given to Bahtiyar was insufficient and had requested that he be sentenced to 'aggravated life imprisonment'.

The Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Diyarbakır Bar Association, and the 8th High Criminal Court had appealed Bahtiyar's sentence.

WHO KILLED HER AND WHY REMAINS UNCLEAR

Mother Yüksel Güran, brother Enes Güran, and uncle Salim Güran had received sentences of aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of "intentional killing of a child in complicity".

The reasoned decision of the case has been announced, but the questions of who killed Narin Güran and why have not found answers.
