OLDER BROTHER ENES GÜRAN PRESENTS HIS DEFENSE
Narin's older brother, Enes Güran, also presented his defense during the hearing.
In his testimony in court, Enes Güran stated, "I was at home on the day of the incident; I do not deny it. People I don't know are searching for my sister. The gendarmerie asks me, they say 'Speak,' what should I speak about? Your Honor, I went to the hospital regarding the bruise on my eye.

The cameras don't show it well. My eye is not bruised; if they looked with cameras, it would be visible. But unfortunately, the camera doesn't show it well. Regarding the bite mark on my arm, I said, 'I bit it myself.' I did it on the 3rd day. Nevzat Bahtiyar became our murderer. They are very curious about the bite mark on my arm. When we look at the forensic report, it explains, explains, and explains. When it comes to the conclusion, it unfortunately says it could not be determined. What kind of report is this?

They couldn't determine it, and that is not my fault. If I wanted to, I wouldn't let it show, did you see? I went to the hospital, he is looking at my eye, I thought he was examining me. I opened my arm and said, 'I bit my own arm.' The man's eyes widened as if he had seen heaven. They say, 'The mother is protecting Enes.' My mother is definitely not protecting me.

If I had said when Nevzat Bahtiyar was caught, 'Commander, I remembered something. I wasn't at home,' they wouldn't have believed Nevzat's statement. I always spoke the truth, I did not lie. My sister went missing, I went crazy. No sleep, no water...

When you look at my photos, I am very different now than I was then. On the 3rd day, the gendarmerie came. They told us, 'Do not join the search, the dogs cannot pick up the scent.' We looked at the Dara area, she wasn't in Dara either," he said.
