Sedat Peker, rumored to be returning to Turkey, breaks his silence! 'Even if my red notice is lifted...'

The rumors that organized crime leader Sedat Peker, who is currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is the subject of an Interpol red notice for allegedly establishing an organized crime organization, will return to Turkey continue to occupy the agenda.

While posts made by MHP figures in favor of Peker have drawn attention, and it was alleged that Peker had met with MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli several times, there was talk of Peker returning to Turkey following these developments. However, the Istanbul 16th High Criminal Court's decision not to lift the "red notice" against Peker in the last hearing led to comments that "the path for Peker's return to Turkey has been closed."

Peker, whose return to Turkey is a matter of curiosity, has broken his silence.

Speaking to Saygı Öztürk from Sözcü, Peker gave the following response to the question, "Are you thinking of coming to Turkey?":

"Journalist Timur Soykan is doing a program on his YouTube channel. He did a report on this subject by researching from my close circle. Actually, almost everything he said was true, but for some reason, the words in this program were misunderstood by a significant segment of society. I have never used the phrase 'I will return to Turkey' or 'I want to return.' I have always said that 'it is still too early.'"

Regarding the failure to lift the red notice against him, Peker stated the following:

"I haven't made any posts for years, but the debates about me have not decreased; they have continued to increase. The first years of my youth were spent in the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). Based on a post made by MHP Deputy Chairman Mr. İzzet Ulvi Yönter, reports were first made that I would return to Turkey. Now, reports are being made in the style of 'The court has closed the path for Sedat Peker's return.' For four years, that is, throughout the trial period, my lawyers have requested the lifting of my red notice every time. The court has rejected it every time. So, this is not a new event. It is a situation that has almost become routine."

Peker, who was watched by millions with the YouTube videos he posted from the UAE for a period and who dominated Turkey's agenda with his revelations, was particularly noted for his remarks targeting the then-Minister of Interior, Süleyman Soylu. Regarding the reports that Soylu came to the UAE and that they made peace, Peker said:

"Everyone who knows me knows that I never forget the evil done to me, nor the good. There are three people in this world whom I will never forgive and will never make peace with as long as I live. The person you mentioned is one of these three people. Things written and drawn like this are nothing but comedy."

"Unfortunately, in our beautiful country, one fool throws a stone into a well, and then even if forty wise men try, it is impossible for that stone to come out of the well. If I am told, 'To go to heaven, your penance is to make peace with these three people,' I swear to Almighty Allah that I would accept going to hell, but I would still not make peace with them."

- Perhaps people thought this way because a long time has passed since the incident.

"I don't care what anyone, including myself, thinks about this. My daughter has grown up. However, if the psychological impact of what she experienced that day still affects the quality of her life today, then what befits an honorable father is not to make peace."

“EVEN IF MY RED NOTICE IS LIFTED…”

- Will you return to Turkey when your red notice is lifted?

"Even if my red notice is lifted, I am not thinking of returning to Turkey for now. There are two separate arrest warrants against me in Turkey. If I returned to Turkey just because my red notice was lifted, they would arrest me and throw me in prison until the court date. Believe me, there is no criminal element in these cases. These are cases created due to the personal ambitions and grudges of a few officials."

“WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND”

“I had listened patiently when the late Uncle Şaban was telling this story. I learned at that age that revenge should be taken with intelligence. These friends insulted me, they threatened me, I did not answer them. They became famous as 'the men who insulted Sedat Peker.' However, they either died or became disabled before they could experience the beauties that fame brought them. Because after me, they insulted and threatened others in the same way. Those friends of ours, because they could not control their nerves, either killed these people or left them disabled.”

After telling these, Sedat Peker said one of the oldest teachings of history, "Men dakka dukka." That is, "What goes around comes around."

‘YOUNG RETIRED MAFIA!’

Actually, I didn't want to get into these topics at all, but out of respect for you, I will answer this question of yours as well. On the world's largest social media platforms, they say I am a YouTuber regarding myself. In the words of journalist Fatih Altaylı, I am a retired mafia (I became a young retiree because I completed my working days).

Is it logical for a YouTuber to commit violence? Or what is the meaning of retirement? A person who does not have to do the jobs they used to do, that is, the obligation to work has disappeared. I also see in the press that many people who insulted me and threatened me have had problems. But I don't feel sorry for any of them. Because I had warned them. I said fame is like a shirt of fire; it burns those who don't know how to wear it. These friends enjoyed the taste of being famous for a period of time that resembled the lifespan of a butterfly with the insults they made to me, but unfortunately, they burned because they could not succeed in wearing the shirt of fire for a long time.

“There was Uncle Şaban Eyüpoğlu, who was a friend of the late Süleyman Demirel and was also one of our elders who passed away. When I went to Ankara, I would visit him. You know my sons, they are also hot-headed. Before 1989, it was when they were at their fastest. We were building in Ankara. On the day of pouring the floor, we agreed with a group. Before the floor pouring was completed, the person at the head of the group came to me and asked for twice the money we agreed on. When I objected, the men started talking disrespectfully. While my children were putting their hands on their waists to pull out their guns at that moment, I signaled to them with my eyes. I gave the men the money they wanted.’”

‘NAILS FOR HIS COFFIN...’

“His sons said, ‘Father, you disgraced us, it's like you paid extortion.’ Uncle Şaban laughed at his sons and said, ‘No, my sons, I nailed the nails of their coffins. After they took this money from me, they will say that we even took twice the money we agreed on from Şaban Eyüpoğlu. They will do the same thing to others. However, because the nerves of the men they want freebies from are not as strong as mine, one of the men they want freebies from will definitely kill them.’ While Uncle Şaban was telling this lived story, he said he heard the news that this man was killed a few years later.”
