The Turkish Red Crescent General Directorate has put a 120,000-square-meter field with olive trees in the Karaburun district of İzmir up for sale.
According to the announcement published in the Official Gazette, the property owned by the Red Crescent will be sold via auction with an estimated value of 185 million TL.
IT HAD BEEN OFFERED FOR SALE BEFORE
The olive grove located in Küçükbahçe Neighborhood had previously been offered for sale for 181 million TL but failed to find a buyer.
With the new announcement, this attempt by the Red Crescent to sell property has once again drawn public attention.
The Red Crescent had previously been the target of harsh criticism for selling tents during the earthquake period.
