A family business that has been producing sausage, roasted meat (kavurma), and pastrami in Afyonkarahisar for three generations, Has Küçük Et, was included in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's list of imitated and adulterated products last October.

The company, whose reputation was damaged and which lost consumer trust during this process, could not emerge from the economic bottleneck it entered and filed for a concordat. The company, which applied to the court to restructure its debts, was granted a three-month period.

THEY WERE FOUND TO HAVE CHEATED IN BEEF SAUSAGE

Inspections conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry revealed that the Afyonkarahisar-based firm Has Küçük Et had used poultry meat in its beef sausage. Following the public disclosure of the list, the company entered into financial distress and began to be unable to pay its debts.

Following this, the firm filed a concordat application with the Afyonkarahisar 3rd Civil Court of First Instance. The company initiated the legal process to restructure its debts due to the loss of trust in the meat sector and economic difficulties.

THEY HAVE A THREE-MONTH PERIOD

Upon the company's concordat application, the court issued a 3-month temporary grace period decision. Within the scope of the same case, in addition to Has Küçük Et, Danam Et Gıda Tarım Hayvancılık Limited Şirketi and company officials Halis Küçük and Hasan Küçük are also included. The court announced that creditors may object to the concordat request within 7 days.
