Garipoğlu's remains retrieved from the Forensic Medicine Institute
DNA testing on the remains of Cem Garipoğlu, who brutally murdered Münevver Karabulut, has been completed at the Forensic Medicine Institute. The Garipoğlu family's lawyer arrived at the Forensic Medicine Institute today to take custody of the remains.
The grave of Cem Garipoğlu, who brutally murdered high school student Münevver Karabulut in Bahçeşehir in 2009, had been opened for DNA testing.

Garipoğlu's remains were brought to the Forensic Medicine Institute on 03.10.2024 for DNA analysis.

Following the completion of the procedures, the Garipoğlu family's lawyer arrived at the Forensic Medicine Institute today to collect the remains. The lawyer, having taken custody of the remains, transported them for burial.
