Gürsel Tekin responds to CHP 'extra' scandal: 'I would hang myself'

A membership participation ceremony was held yesterday (July 25) at the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency under the administration of trustee Gürsel Tekin.

A major scandal erupted at this ceremony organized by the absolute nullity administration within the CHP.

According to a report by Ebru Çelik from Birgün Newspaper, it was alleged that hundreds of extras from various casting agencies were brought to the membership participation ceremony organized by the Kılıçdaroğlu administration for 950 liras.

Following the scandalous allegation, eyes turned to the nullity administration. In a statement, trustee Gürsel Tekin claimed that the report did not reflect the truth.

Claiming that both the CHP and himself have been targeted for a long time, Tekin said the following on TGRT Haber, which is close to the government:

"For the last 10 months, I have been using these sentences, sometimes mentioning their names, calling them dirty media. I want this media to file a criminal complaint against Gürsel Tekin. If this has been said for 10 months, you will either extend a microphone to Gürsel Tekin or file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office."

Stating that they would file a criminal complaint, Tekin said, "It is a complete lie. Who is this firm, what is the name of this firm? If there is any information that Gürsel Tekin has such an agreement with any firm, or has received or given money, I will hang myself in Taksim Square. We have never had any paid business."

WILL HOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE

Later, in a statement on his social media account, Tekin announced that he would hold a press conference at the Istanbul Provincial Presidency on Sunday, July 26, at 12:00.

Tekin's statement is as follows:

“I invite those who try to cast a shadow on the magnificent membership participation ceremony we held today, and those who create perception through dirty media, to the press conference we will hold at the Istanbul Provincial Presidency tomorrow at 12:00.

Do not listen to what we have to say through hearsay, but listen to it directly from us.”
