Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan was in Ankara. Summoned to the law enforcement unit by Ankara Provincial Police Department officials, Arslan turned off his mobile phone shortly after and disappeared. Following this, an arrest warrant was issued for Arslan.

While the developments caused a wide stir in public opinion, AKP member Şamil Tayyar also shared a noteworthy message. Stating that the Antalya operation would not be limited to İlker Arslan, Tayyar said, "I am not writing his name, position, or title so as not to compromise the investigation. A surprise 'dismissal' decision could come on Monday."
