The incident occurred around 19:00 on Abdi İpekçi Street in the Yenidoğan neighborhood of Bayrampaşa. According to allegations, a man arrived by car near the place where his former partner worked.
Seeing the man arrive, the woman, for reasons unknown, took a knife, left the restaurant, and walked toward him. Seeing the woman approaching him with a knife, the man drew his weapon.
The man first shot his former partner and then shot himself. Upon notification by bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Following initial intervention by medical teams, the two seriously injured individuals were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
