Heavy rainfall warning from Meteorology: Beware of floods, hail, lightning, and transport disruptions
The Ministry of Interior announced that heavy rainfall is expected in many provinces on Tuesday, October 6; citizens have been urged to take precautions.
The Ministry of Interior, based on the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, has announced that local heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in some regions on Tuesday, October 6.
According to the ministry's announcement, the precipitation is expected to be effective around Bingöl, Muş, Bitlis, Tunceli, Elazığ, and Hakkari during the afternoon hours. Locally heavy rainfall is also forecast for the eastern parts of Siirt and Şırnak; the northern parts of Diyarbakır, Batman, and Adıyaman; and the southern parts of Malatya, Van, and Erzurum.
While heavy rainfall is also expected in the vicinity of Kars, Ağrı, and Iğdır after the afternoon hours, intermittent and local heavy rainfall is forecast for the coastal areas of Hatay and the southern and eastern parts of Osmaniye.
Authorities have urged citizens to be careful and take precautions against flash floods, inundation, lightning, local hail, strong winds, and potential disruptions to transportation.
