A new development has occurred in the case regarding the beating of child athlete M.K., as part of the investigation conducted by the Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
14-year-old M.K. was subjected to verbal harassment near a tram stop after getting off the tram recently; he was then attacked by a group with punches and sticks.
The condition of the 14-year-old child athlete, who was hospitalized with suspected brain trauma and a fractured shoulder blade, drew public reaction, and the incident was brought to the agenda with 12punto's exclusive report.
The suspects, who had previously been released after giving their statements, were taken back into custody on charges of "assault" and "threat" following a re-evaluation by the prosecutor's office.
The suspects, who were brought to the courthouse, were released by the duty magistrate judge with judicial control conditions; a "house arrest" measure was imposed on them.
