Müge Yorgancı Ozar, who worked at the Istanbul Planning Agency, fell ill and passed away during a Turkish Airlines flight from Tokyo to Istanbul.
City planner Müge Yorgancı Ozar, who worked at the Istanbul Planning Agency under the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), passed away after falling ill on a Turkish Airlines flight from Tokyo to Istanbul.
According to information reported by Hava Sosyal Medya, the cabin crew intervened after Ozar, who was traveling on the flight from Tokyo to Istanbul, became ill. It was reported that despite the interventions, Ozar lost her life.
Following the incident, it was stated that the plane was not diverted to another airport and completed its flight by landing in Istanbul.
Müge Yorgancı Ozar's passing caused great sadness at the Istanbul Planning Agency and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, where she served.
IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat announced Ozar's death in a post on his social media account and expressed his condolences to her family and loved ones.
It was also reported that IPA President Buğra Gökce published a message of condolence for Ozar.
