Incarcerated social media influencer Bahar Candan hospitalized
Social media influencer Bahar Candan, who faces a prison sentence of 14 to 44 years under an indictment prepared for charges of fraud and money laundering, has been transferred to a hospital from the Marmara Prison where she is being held. It is reported that Candan is currently undergoing treatment.
An indictment was prepared by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the social media influencer sisters Bahar and Nihal Candan, who were under investigation for fraud and money laundering.
Within the scope of the indictment, it was requested that Alisya Bahar Candan be sentenced to 14 to 44 years in prison, while her older sister Gülnihal Çiçek faces a requested sentence of 8 to 24 years.
TRANSFERRED TO HOSPITAL
Nihal Candan, one of the sisters who is set to appear before a judge in the coming days, was released in recent weeks due to suffering from anorexia.
Following the release of her sister Nihal Candan from prison, Bahar Candan was transferred today from the Marmara Prison, where she is being held, to a hospital for an undisclosed reason.
It was learned that Candan was taken to Silivri State Hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
