In Istanbul's Kağıthane district, a driver traveling in a truck struck vehicles parked on the street.
The moment of the accident was captured on a security camera.
Selahattin Yılmaz, one of the owners of the vehicles involved in the accident, said he woke up to the noise caused by the crash.
'HE PASSED BY BREAKING THE MIRRORS OF SOME VEHICLES'
Stating that they went down to the street after a neighbor called to inform him that a truck had hit his vehicle, Yılmaz said, "Like an executioner, he kept going without stopping, hitting vehicles in front of him on both the left and right, and then fled. A neighbor who owns a grocery store even took down the license plate, and he scraped the awning of his shop as he passed. Even though he shouted from behind, he couldn't get the vehicle to stop. He scraped against the beam of the next building and damaged telephone cables. He passed by breaking the mirrors of some vehicles."
Yılmaz stated that they went to the police station due to the accident and added the following:
"Although we expressed our grievances, we could not find a proper solution, but we will likely file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office. As far as we know, there are 6 vehicles right now..."
