Murat Kurum and Ekrem İmamoğlu, who are competing for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality candidacy, continue to make headlines with the statements they make about each other.
Both sides are making references to each other based on past actions and promises.
While both sides continue to attack each other through the programs they attend and announce poll results, the developments happening in the background are also drawing the attention of voters.
Most recently, a provocation carried out by a woman with the Quran during a rally held by İmamoğlu drew backlash.
Journalist İsmail Saymaz also commented on the developments that have occurred one after another in recent days, and made the following post, referencing the AKP government's decision to bring Osman Öcalan onto TRT screens:
"Many signs have appeared regarding March 31st.
First, the public bus setup…
Then, the montage…
Now, a rally provocation with our holy book, the Quran.
Ask for a reference letter from İmralı, and it will be complete."
