It was claimed he was detained: First statement from Erden Timur

A flash claim has emerged regarding Erden Timur, the owner of the NEF company and a former executive of Galatasaray. It was stated that Timur was detained in New York 2 days ago.

THE REASON HAS EMERGED

According to a report by VOA Turkish, it was stated that the reason for Erden Timur's detention was the bribery investigation into New York Mayor Eric Adams.

It was learned that Erden Timur has denied these allegations.

VOA Turkish reporter Mehmet Sümer, explaining that he spoke with Erden Timur, shared the following: "I spoke with Erden Timur, the owner of Nef Construction, which has a construction investment in Brooklyn. He confirmed that when he arrived in New York two days ago, he was detained by the FBI at JFK airport and asked questions regarding New York Mayor Eric Adams. Timur explained that he was asked whether he had made a donation to Adams' campaign, and that he told them he had not made any donations."

NO DETENTION

According to what Mehmet Sümer conveyed, Erden Timur told him that no detention procedure was applied to him, and that he left the airport without any legal action, having only provided information without signing any documents or similar records.
