Justice Minister Tunç: The CHP Chairman's low-level, ugly, and aggressive attitude will receive the response it deserves

In a post on his social media account, Minister Tunç stated, "Regarding the insolent remarks made by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel toward our President and his rhetoric targeting members of the judiciary, ex officio investigations have been initiated by the Ankara and Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices for the crimes of 'insulting the President' and 'insulting a public official due to their duty' under the Turkish Penal Code.

The CHP Chairman's low-level, ugly, and aggressive attitude is not only devoid of political ethics but also a great disrespect to our state tradition and the common values of our nation," he said.

Emphasizing that no one is above the law, Tunç said, "Politics is a path of service to the nation. It is not about trying to erode state institutions through attacks, malice, and hate speech.

Let no one have any doubt that we will stand against any kind of attack on the national will and judicial independence. This hate speech directed at the highest office of our state and members of the judiciary is in no way acceptable.

No one, regardless of their position, is privileged or above the law. These hate speeches will certainly receive the response they deserve before the law," he stated.
