Lieutenants' file sent back to the Military Academy
It has been alleged that the file of the lieutenants, who faced expulsion demands after reciting the officer's oath and chanting "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" following an official ceremony, has been sent back to the Military Academy.
It has been alleged that the file of the lieutenants, which became known in the public eye as the 'lieutenant crisis' and for whom expulsion was requested after they recited the officer's oath and chanted "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" following an official ceremony, has been sent back to the Military Academy instead of proceeding to the High Disciplinary Board as expected.
According to the report by Ceren Bala Teke from T24, the file was returned due to technical deficiencies.
Lawyer Serdar Öztürk, however, made a different claim regarding the matter, stating, "If the file had gone to the High Disciplinary Board while their service records were in this state, they would not have been able to dismiss them. The files were sent back to the school for a change in service records. The Battalion Commander had been sent to the 58th Brigade. Normally, a newly arrived superior cannot issue a service record evaluation because they have not completed 3 months. Now, pressure is being put on them to issue it anyway."
Lawyer Serdar Öztürk made the following statements:
"Their records are clean. In this state, the High Disciplinary Board cannot carry out a dismissal. They sent them back to have the records marked as 'negative.' Following the events, the Battalion Commander had been sent to the 58th Brigade. The commander who replaced them cannot write a service record evaluation because they have not completed 3 months. However, there is currently pressure being exerted on them to write it. Civilians have entered the military and are officially directing things."
