Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek begins his official visits to Qatar and Kuwait today.

According to information obtained from the ministry, Şimşek will hold various meetings in Qatar during the first leg of his program.

According to the report by Birgün, Şimşek will first meet with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in the capital Doha, and will subsequently meet with Qatar's Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari and the CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud.

HE WILL MEET WITH INVESTORS

As part of his contacts in Qatar, Minister Şimşek will attend the “Invest in Türkiye” program and meet with investors. Important steps are expected to be taken during these meetings to attract investment to Türkiye and increase economic cooperation.

Following the meetings in Doha, Şimşek will move on to Kuwait, the second stop of his official visit. There, he will hold talks with the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Noura Sulaiman Al-Fassam and the CEO of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Ghanem Sulaiman Al-Ghenaiman. Şimşek will also attend an investor meeting to be held in Kuwait and hold talks on the development of economic relations.

Minister Şimşek will return to Türkiye after completing his contacts in Kuwait.
