Ministry of Family and Social Services files criminal complaint over 'We will be role models for young trans children' posts
The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that it has filed a criminal complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office regarding posts published on some social media platforms under the heading "We will be role models for young trans children."
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, it was stated: "It has been deemed necessary to make the following statement regarding the posts published on some social media platforms under the heading ‘we will be role models for young trans children.’
In this regard, our Ministry has filed a criminal complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office for the said posts to be evaluated within the scope of relevant legislation, primarily for the crimes of obscenity and inciting the public to hatred and hostility.
Furthermore, an access ban will be requested regarding the posts.
The primary priority of our Ministry is the protection of our children from all kinds of neglect, abuse, and harmful content; and the support of their development in a safe and healthy environment.
No content that does not observe the best interests of the child and that targets children is acceptable.
Our Ministry will continue its fight with determination against any attempt that may negatively affect the physical, psychological, and social development of our children."
