Ministry of Trade responds to claims regarding trade with Israel

The Ministry of Trade has announced that reports appearing in some media outlets claiming that trade between Turkey and Israel is continuing are "completely false."

In a statement made on the ministry's social media account, it was noted that despite the necessary explanations regarding these claims being made on September 18, certain circles continue a smear campaign aimed at disrupting Turkey's exports.

'MALICIOUS REPORTS'

In its statement, the ministry said, "Despite the restriction decisions that our country is implementing with determination, reports claiming that products are being sent from Turkey to Israel are entirely malicious and intended for speculation." It was emphasized that these reports aim to mislead the public and are a reflection of Israel's bloody politics.

AID TO PALESTINE CONTINUES

Underlining that Turkey continues its humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people without interruption, the statement noted that more than 60 thousand tons of aid have been sent to Gaza to date. It was stated that this aid is carried out under the approval and supervision of the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy, and it was confirmed that the aid is delivered exclusively to Palestine.

The statement further clarified that reports regarding two ships said to have departed from Izmir Nemrut Port are also baseless. It was announced that the Turkish-flagged BURAK DEVAL and the Panama-flagged MAYFAIR are en route to Jordan's Aqaba Port and that their cargo is registered to Palestine in the export declarations.
