Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür shared an assessment on his social media account regarding the 4.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Gökdere region of Amasya.
Görür stated that the earthquake occurred on a branch of the North Anatolian Fault (NAF), noting that the branch in question is approximately 350 kilometers long.
In his post, Görür noted that this structure was formed by the slicing of the Anatolian plate. He also indicated that the fault line could be referred to as "Gökdere".
