New detail in the Polat couple investigation: Documents sought in villa garden under prosecutor's order

Another development has occurred regarding the Polat family, whose companies are being investigated by MASAK. It was reported that while a raid was being conducted on Dilan Polat's companies, a tip-off reached the prosecutor leading the investigation, alleging that the Polat family had smuggled some documents out of the companies. The informant also provided an address, stating that the documents had been taken to the home of Dilan Polat's father-in-law.

THEY SEARCHED FOR TRACES OF DOCUMENTS IN THE VILLA GARDEN

Kanal D Haber reported that, upon the prosecutor's instruction, police teams went to the villa of father-in-law Sezgin Polat, located within a residential complex in Sancaktepe, and first searched the inside of the house but did not encounter any evidence. This time, with the prosecutor's permission, the teams began excavation work in the villa's garden to find the allegedly smuggled documents. However, the police did not find any findings.

Dilan Polat, along with her husband Engin Polat, made a statement on social media, saying, "We have had our excesses, our spoiled behaviors, and our displays of wealth. We have realized better during this process that we overstepped our bounds." In the continuation of the statement, Polat said, "According to the MASAK report, there is no other accusation, finding, or evidence against us (money laundering, illegal betting, etc.) other than tax liability. All information and documents have been submitted to the prosecutor's office and tax administration, and all kinds of procedures, including the digging of our garden, have been and continue to be carried out."
