Singer Aybike Çelik has alleged that Can Tunaboylu, the guitarist for the bands Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz and Eskiz, assaulted her. Announcing that she had been subjected to violence, Çelik shared photos of the injuries she sustained on her social media account.

Stating that she was assaulted by her boyfriend Can Tunaboylu on the night of Thursday, August 3, Çelik said, ''For 13 days, I was kept at home with a broken arm and a bruised eye through emotional manipulation. The only day I could go out was the day of the individual's concert'' , adding that she was not taken to the hospital to prevent her from obtaining an assault report.

''I APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE AGAIN''

Following the widespread attention Aybike Çelik's allegations received on social media, Can Tunaboylu released a statement: "Dear listeners and followers, I am truly sorry to be in the news with such an incident. Unfortunately, since the matter was already taken to the judiciary by both parties long before this statement, which contains many claims contrary to the truth, please excuse my silence for now in order not to harm the confidentiality of the investigation and not to damage the presumption of innocence, the value of which I understand very well today. However, I will suffice by stating that when the judicial process is concluded, it will be revealed with all evidence that the facts are very different from what has been told, and I would like to respectfully remind you that slander is also a crime. I am deeply saddened to be one of the subjects of a case that abuses the rightful struggle of women who are victims of violence. Finally, I would like to inform you that I have decided to take a break for a while so as not to harm my bandmates and the very valuable team we work with until the judicial process is concluded and the allegations against me are resolved. I respect our social reflex and I apologize to everyone again for occupying the agenda in this way" he said.
