No news from Rojin Kabaiş, who went missing in Van, for 18 days

Search efforts for 21-year-old university student Rojin Kabaiş, who went missing in Van, are continuing both in the lake and in the surrounding areas.

Rojin Kabaiş, a student in the Preschool Teaching Department at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYÜ), who told her friends she was going to the shore to collect pebbles, has not been heard from since September 27.

Search efforts for Kabaiş, whose mobile phone and headphones were previously found on the shore, are continuing uninterrupted in both the lake and coastal areas with the participation of special teams formed under the coordination of the Van Governorship.

Twenty divers and crew members from the Coast Guard Van Lake Group Command, the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, the Provincial Police Department's Seamen and Navigation Services Bureau and Underwater Group Command, and AFAD are scanning the depths of the lake with 5 ships, 4 boats, jet skis, and sonar devices.

HER HEADSCARF WAS FOUND PREVIOUSLY

In the search efforts where all resources are being utilized, teams are searching for the missing student by checking all points, especially the residential areas near the shore, abandoned structures in the Bardakçı neighborhood, reed beds, and the area where Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account on October 10 that Kabaiş's headscarf had been found.
