Poisoning scandal in Samsun! 213 workers hospitalized

Employees from 11 companies working with the same catering firm in Samsun have been poisoned. The number of those affected has been rising since yesterday and has reached 213. A high volume of patients has been observed in hospitals across the city.

CHICKEN POISONING: VOMITING AND DIZZINESS

The number of people who ate the chicken served yesterday at lunchtime by the company providing catering services to 11 firms and factories operating in the district, and who subsequently applied to hospitals with complaints of vomiting and dizziness, has risen to 213.

SAMPLES TAKEN FROM CATERING FIRM

Officials from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry went to the catering firm and took samples for analysis.

As part of the investigation conducted by the Tekkeköy District Police Department, the processing of the catering firm's official, the cook, and the food engineer, who were taken to the police station for questioning, is ongoing.

NO LIFE-THREATENING CONDITIONS

It was stated that the workers are not in life-threatening condition, but that the number of people applying to hospitals may increase.

Yesterday, 188 workers employed at 11 firms and factories operating in the organized industrial zone in the Tekkeköy district had applied to hospitals with suspected food poisoning after eating the chicken served.
