The fifth hearing was held in the case of the Ezgi Apartment, which became a tomb for 35 people in the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes. At the hearing held today at the Kahramanmaraş 4th High Criminal Court, it was decided that the detention of the imprisoned defendant Ertan Danacı would continue.

According to the report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, the court also made a scandalous decision during the hearing. The request to issue a Red Notice for Sami Kervancıoğlu and Mustafa Pekel, the owners of Kervan Patisserie, who have been fugitives for 460 days and for whom an indictment has been prepared seeking up to 876 years and 6 months in prison each for "intentional killing and injury with possible intent," was rejected.
The court decided once again to inquire about the status of the arrest warrant.

The sixth hearing of the case will be held on April 4, 2025.

THEY SOLD ICE CREAM TO THE STATE!

The Social Security Institution (SGK), affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, purchased 40 thousand units of semi-skimmed Maraş ice cream from "Alpedo Gıda Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi," owned by the fugitive defendants Kervancıoğlu and Pekel, on April 30, 2024. With the purchase made through the direct procurement method, exactly 460 thousand TL was paid to the Alpedo Company from the institution's coffers.
