Seçil Erzan trial continues: 'I paid Terim's money to others as interest'

Seçil Erzan, the former manager of Denizbank's Florya branch, has been in custody since April 11, 2023. The hearing held at the Istanbul 41st High Criminal Court was attended by detained defendants Seçil Erzan and Ali Yörük, who were brought under gendarmerie escort, as well as non-detained defendants, some complainants, and their lawyers.

I DID NOT RECEIVE MONEY FROM FATİH TERİM UNDER THE NAME OF A FUND

The hearing began with the roll call of defendants and complainants. Seçil Erzan made a defense statement following Fatih Terim's inclusion in the case as a complainant. Erzan stated, "I never received money from Fatih Terim under the name of a fund. 300 thousand dollars and 400 thousand dollars were given due to the friendly relationship between us."

I PAID TERİM'S MONEY TO OTHERS AS INTEREST

Erzan used the expression, "Although I requested Fatih Terim's account statements, they did not reach me. I can prove with reports that there is no 3 million dollar loss." Furthermore, stating that she gave Terim's money to others as 'interest', Erzan said, "I paid interest to others with the total of 700 thousand dollars I received from Fatih Terim."

I AM A SUCCESSFUL BRANCH MANAGER

Erzan concluded her defense by saying, "I was a successful branch manager. I received awards due to my performance." The trial will continue in the coming days.
