“It used to be amusing that my name was mentioned every time Köfteci Yusuf was discussed. What kind of Köfteci Yusuf is this, my friend? I'm starting to get tense now. Köfteci Yusuf called me once because he felt affection for me, and we spoke. I haven't even had a cup of tea with him. We donate as much to charity every holiday as he sells. Whenever Köfteci Yusuf comes up on the agenda, I end up trending on Twitter (TT). What kind of nonsense is this!”
Peker expressed his discomfort with the allegations made in the past regarding Köfteci Yusuf, describing the situation as “absurd.”
'HAS THE STATE CAUGHT THE PORK?'
Peker also pointed out that Köfteci Yusuf employs 12,000 people and questioned whether the state has taken any concrete action regarding this scandal. Peker's following remarks also drew attention:
“This man employs 12,000 people. Has the state actually caught this pork?”
