Yusuf Serdar Yücel, who worked as a software engineer at Roketsan, was found dead in his home on Saturday, January 4. Yücel's father, retired police officer Ahmet Yücel, made striking statements following his son's death.
In a program he attended on KRT, father Yücel stated that his son was not the type to commit suicide, saying, "My son did not commit suicide, he was executed. They asked my son for a secret, and he did not give it to them."
Father Yücel said, "I reviewed the case from start to finish with expert colleagues I worked with during my professional years. Our assessment is that he was incapacitated at gunpoint and a substance that caused his death was administered via a bag placed over his face. We are certain that he was murdered because of his job. They asked my son for a secret, and he did not give it to them. They have started a perception operation by creating fake evidence."
Father Yücel also alleged that the substance that caused his son's death was administered by placing a bag over his face, adding, "His shoulders were bruised."
It had been claimed that the young engineer, who worked as a software engineer at Roketsan, committed suicide by ingesting a chemical mixture.
